This is my painting the final result, this last project was one of my favorites because I had never painted in a canvas and this was the first time and I liked it a lot. The most difficult part of this painting was making the cactus and the sky of the landscape, but everything else was very fun to do it. I liked this project very much.

doing this work was very interesting for me because the painting they gave me has no symmetry, curves are what make up the painting and that is good for me because I do not like them and I can not make asymmetrical figures. doing this work was very interesting for me because the painting they gave me has no symmetry, curves are what make up the painting and that is good for me because I do not like them and I can not make asymmetrical figures. This assignment to replicate a piece of a painting as accurate as we can. The image at is the entire work, which was made by Picasso.
Early LifeNow thought to be one of the leading artists of the 20th century, Diego Rivera was born on December 8, 1886, in Guanajuato, Mexico. His passion for art emerged early on. He began drawing as a child. Around the age of 10, Rivera went to study art at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City. One of his early influences was artist José Posada who ran a print shop near Rivera's school. In 1907, Rivera traveled to Europe to further his art studies. There, he befriended many leading artists of the day, including Pablo Picasso. Rivera was also able to view influential works by Paul Gaugin and Henri Matisse, among others. Famous Muralist Diego Rivera had some success as a Cubist painter in Europe, but the course of world events would strongly change the style and subject of his work. Inspired by the political ideals of the Mexican Revolution (1914-15) and the Russian Revolution (1917), Rivera wanted to make art that reflected the lives of the working class and native peoples of Mexico. He developed an interest in making murals during a trip to Italy, finding inspiration in the Renaissance frescos there. Returning to Mexico, Rivera began to express his artistic ideas about Mexico. He received funding from the government to create a series of murals about the country's people and its history on the walls of public buildings. In 1922, Rivera completed the first of the murals at the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria in Mexico City. Known for numerous dalliances with women, Rivera married fellow artist Frida Kahlo in 1929. He already had been twice before he wed Kahlo, who was 20 years his junior, and had several children from his past relationships. Rivera and Kahlo shared an interest in radical politics and Marxism. Personal Life and Death.. Diego Rivera lost his wife, Frida Kahlo, in 1954. The following year, He married Emma Hurtado, his art dealer. By this time, Rivera's health was in decline. He had traveled abroad for cancer treatment, but doctors were unable to cure him. Diego Rivera died of heart failure on November 24, 1957, in Mexico City, Mexico. Since his death, Diego Rivera is remembered as an important figure in 20th century art. His childhood home is now a museum in Mexico. His life and relationship with Frida Kahlo has been remained a subject of great fascination and speculation. On the big screen, actor Ruben Blades portrayed Rivera in the 1999 movie Cradle Will Rock. Alfred Molina later brought Rivera to life, co-starring with Salma Hayek in the 2002 acclaimed biographical film Frida. His current artist par excellence was Mexican muralism, he is considered as one of the three great exponents of it. Rivera is recognized for his mural paintings in public buildings, an alternative that the artist took because he believed that art should be accessible to all people instead of being "locked" in an art gallery or museum.Theme
Facade of the Insurgentes Theater, 1953. The interest of Rivera's work, more in his recent works, focused on history. In the National Palace of Mexico City, murals are exhibited that represent the vision of Mayan and Aztec life. Although Rivera's documentation is historical, his work is based on fantasy, showing his great capacity for imagination when realistically recreating the life of the pre-Hispanic past.Rivera's work portrays the popular aspects of the Mexican: from the pre-Columbian era to the contemporary world, where even the most notable figures of the Mexican show are added, like the actor Cantinflas, known through the theater, character included in the same way in the Rivera's work, an example of this is the fresco of the Theater of the Insurgents. This project was very difficult for me, but I had a not so bad result because I had never done a drawing of myself and I think if I look at the drawing. This was my result (unfortunately I do not have photos of the process of my drawing because my cell phone was broken and my pictures were in the internal memory of the cell phone, and I could not save them) Primary Color Self-Portrait Critique Self Evaluation 1. Describe the craftsmanship of your portrait. (Is it neat and well executed?) the art of my drawing from number 1 to 10 I think it has a 75, because I've never been drawn in my life, that's why I think it's not the best drawing but it's not so bad. 2. Describe the difficulties you had in mixing and mixing your colors . the difficulties that I had when mixing the colors were to obtain a tone for my skin, for the eyes because they were not exact colors. 3. Did you follow the instructions and draw each box of the grid separately? Why is this important? if you draw at home, it's important because it helps you make the lines 4. How were value changes created with your crayons? Changes in value changed when I drew my eyes. 5. Discuss how you were able to get the color you wanted from the 3 pencils. To obtain the colors that I wanted, I had to do many layers to achieve it. 6. How could you improve your portrait? To improve my portrait, I would make it complete to improve the color 7. Looking back, do you feel that you were prepared for this project? What part of the unit was beneficial to the success of the portrait? The truth was not ready for this project was very difficult for me, I hope you do not criticize and that the teacher does not show it 8. Choose another classmate's piece that you think is an excellent example of mastering the techniques. Discuss why you feel this way. At my table is Tia and Meli and they have an excellent job. I feel that compared to my work, their work is really beautiful. Watercolor is a painting medium that is a blend of pigment, gum arabic and water. It is transparent because light can pass through the medium and create a vibrant color when painted on white paper. Personally, the watercolor technique so far is my favorite technique. Making this project was very fun since we interacted with lots of water and with liquid color. It was also a very pleasant experience for a painter to come to our classroom and show us how to paint with the watercolor technique. Art 2 Guest Artist Watercolor Critic Self appraisal
1. Explain the process you should have used to create the watercolor painting that was used to make my painting: First draw on the paper that the teacher gave us some margaritas then add ... in the part that I wanted to cover and wait for it to dry. After (I put the drawing on a board and put paper on the edges.) After adding the Schmincke. I wait for it to dry before adding water with a sprayer to the drawing, then add blue, red, green and yellow paint. After that I moved the board with the purpose of having the water and the paint come together and spread throughout the drawing, then I took a piece of paper to dry the drawing a little. later with a dryer I dried my drawing, later I added more ... for the part I wanted to protect and not paint then I waited again to dry and add more paint and water. repeated this process 3 times..After the 3 times this was my result. Later the teacher gave me a sponge and removed the layers of Schmincke . And finally i have a good piece. The guest who came to the class helped me and gave some comments about my painting. The painting of him helped me a lot to make mine. I think his visit to him served us all in class. Seeing a professional is very helpful. 2. Describe the difficulties you had with this process. the most difficult thing in the process was adding the water because it added too much, the color was clear and if it added little, the paint did not extend throughout the painting. 3. What were the 4 things you learned from this project? The things I learned in this project were watercolor techniques, how to make the painting in the piece darker, how use the Schmincke and how use the color and water for make a good piece. 4. What would you do differently if you did this project again? If I were to do this project again, I would choose another drawing, I would like to do Ed Sheeran or Frida Khalo she was a Mexican painter. 5. How did you use layers, textures and color to create a successful piece? For my piece to be successful, use the darker colors so that the figure (the daisies) will be able to highlight. 6. Do you feel that the mini watercolor lessons were beneficial for you to learn more about watercolor? Explain These lessons were great for me because it is a new knowledge, Personally up to now it is my favorite technique. 7. Was having a positive artist a positive experience? Explain Of course it is a positive experience to know about a professional artist because it helps you and gives you knowledge that you can put into practice in the future. 8. What did you learn about the guest artist who gave you more information on how to be a professional artist? Personally I felt that he gave us the message that everything is art from the point of view of each person. My favorite painter(NEON) says that "for art there are no rules" and that was what the guest artist showed us when he was doing his piece.
Before making the composition, practice patterns and textures. To make my composition I chose two accordion themes and Mexican landscapes: look for related images and draw them. After making my ideas I chose only one image to use as my composition. I chose the accordion in landscape, first I drew a sketch in pencil. Then I started doing it on a special paper that the teacher gave us.
CONCLUSION: THIS PROJECT LEAVES ME MANY KNOWLEDGE THAT CAN HELP ME FOR FUTURE PROJECTS. Patterns SELF APPRAISAL 1. Describe how you organized your composition. Discuss your use of the elements and principles. Is it a successful composition? I organized my composition first I chose some patterns from the hundred that I made and I also chose a drawing. Then I made a boseto and added the patterns that best fit him. I think if it was a successful composition. 2. How important is the texture and pattern in your composition? the textures and the compositions are very important because if they are not chosen properly the figure of the patterns can be lost. 3. Why is value so important in this project? The values are very important because because it defines some details (shadows, volume, distance) 4. Describe your craftsmanship (how well the project is technically designed). try to choose the best patterns for my composition,I think it's a good job, there are details that could be better. 5. Explain how your knowledge and the creation of practice studies with value and pattern contributed to the success of your piece. By knowing and doing practical studies they gave me ideas and I was able to base them on my drawing. When I made the 100 patterns I had a diversity of ideas to make and choose the patterns 6. When applying pen and ink / pattern techniques, why and how is it important to make sure you understand the concepts taught in class? It is important to understand what they teach us, because if we have knowledge of the subject it will not be complicated to carry out a project. 7. As a growing artist, how do you think what you have learned will guide and improve your future projects? I think really this project and its parate left me a great knowledge, and this can help me to improve future projects. 8. If you could recreate your piece, what would you do differently to improve your final result? If I could recreate my piece what would change the patterns of the wooden sticks as it mixes with the texture of the grass The objective of this work was to fill the space of the landscape with my patterns. And this was the result.
