After having my idea with color, I started to make it on watercolor paper, here are the photos of the process.
my final watercolor painting
1.What watercolor techniques proved to be effective in your painting? How and Why?
One of the techniques that I found effective was dry brush, I used it for the part of the bushes, I liked the effect that this technique gave to my bushes because I used different shades of color making a long grass and leaves look
2. How important was using transparent layers in your painting?
It is important to use transparent layers because you can add the colors little by little and it is not necessary to put a dark color in a single layer, when you are putting the transparent layers successively the color will become darker
3. Explain how your composition was successful? Did you utilize all the elements of art and principles of design? Explain.
I think so, my composition was successful, really if I use the principles of art, techniques and design. The art classes I have had in the previous semesters will help me a lot. For example, in the color of the water, if I didn't have the knowledge about the shades, I would only have put a blue color and only that.
4. Was color choice an important factor in the overall success of the painting? Why?
really the choice of color is a very important key to having a successful painting, in my painting I think the colors are a bit light, but I like it because the whole piece contains light colors and I think it would have looked bad if I had added dark colors and other clear, I liked the colors and tones of my painting.
5. Describe your craftsmanship.
In my craftsmanship I like to be very careful with the colors and with the way of using the brush on the paper because I do not like to be mistreated, I like that in my pieces an order is seen, and I have hardly ever been good with the details that are very small, and I notice that in my piece in the part of trees and stone structures
6. If you were able to do something different what would it be and why?
If I could do something different for this project and for my painting, it would be to use more cheerful colors, I think I use very gray colors, and I wanted to give more life to my painting with colors that will highlight more.
7. Explain to me what you have learned about watercolor and how it has improved or discouraged your development in art.
In this project I learned to use new techniques, especially one that I liked very much and that I had never used was dry brush. I really liked this project a lot, and personally it helped me a lot better as an artist, I like the result of my piece and when I see it I like the idea that I had in my head.

“Hunderwasser” Painting
The first thing I did for this project was to draw 3 ideas, my first idea was to make the girl with the braids, but then the idea of the mountains and the lake came to my mind, and I decided to draw it.
I chose two of my ideas and made them again but this time with colored pencils and I was left with the idea of the mountains of colors and the lake.
process of my painting
my final painting
Describe the craftsmanship of your painting. (Is it neat and well executed?)
I think my painting is well executed, I liked the harmony of colors and details in each element of my painting. What I like most to make this piece is that I not only used acrylic paint but we were also allowed to use colored markers, which helped me put some patterns on the part of the lake and mountains
How does your work embody the artist’s style?
In this painting I insist on the style I have, I like that my pieces notice an order and I like that the lines in this case the black lines are persisted with precision, most of the time I like that my pieces reflect my Feelings, because it is almost always what I try to communicate in my pieces, in this case this piece for me is very peculiar, since one day I had had a very colorful dream where I saw great colorful mountains and a huge blue lake, it was from that I dream the name of my piece.
Describe your choice of colors/color harmonies and how you used them throughout the artwork.
I really liked the colors I chose, I really liked the contrast of the orange, yellow and blue colors, I like the choice of the positions that I gave them because that way they make my painting more striking
What is the emphasis (focal point) of your artwork?
The central focus in my painting is the part of the sun's rays and the mountain on the right, I think those two parts of the painting contain the most striking colors and patterns of the painting
How did you use textures and patterns to embellish your artwork?
For my piece I had only decided to put acrylic paint, but when I finished the idea I had in mind it was good but it really looked very simple, so I decided to put in the sun's rays, some golden details, so the same thing happened in the part of the lake the lines in different shade of blue helped me to give my piece more life
How did you put a border on your artwork? How does it enhance the work?
I didn't really put a border on a piece, and if I had put it on, I think it would have looked different, but I really like what my piece looks like.
Describe any difficulties you had creating this artwork.
Something difficult in this piece was not mixing the colors on the canvas, because sometimes you accidentally left my hand and added color to a part that was already ready and I had to correct those details. Another difficult thing in my piece was the black lines, I was going to try it with black paint but I think it is a bit complicated for me because I have no pressure on the brush in such thin lines so I decided to use a black marker

Oil painting
oil painting practice
some ideas of landscapes
At the end of all the ideas I decided to do the one at the end, it is a very beautiful place and it contains elements that make me imagine how my final painting can be in the future
Describe the craftsmanship of your painting. (Is it clean and well executed?)
I like my painting, and I like the elements, I like the Maguey part and the bush
Describe your choice of colors / color harmonies and how you used them throughout the artwork. In this painting the colors I used were different shades of green, only that for the grass I would have liked to give it a different texture, another of the textures that I liked was that of the sky I liked the mixes that I mixed.
How did you create the contrast in your painting? The contrast I made in my painting was the green color that I used halfway down and blue half up in the sky, I think using blue in my paint was successful because most of it was green
How did you apply textures, reflections and shadows to improve your work of art? apply textures in the sky with the knife as well as the underside of the maguey, use different brushes and use darker shades of paint for shadows
How could you create depth in your painting?
I think that the details in a painting create depth and we apply liquids that make the appearance of the paint softer
What painting techniques did you use to make your painting successful?
I preferred to use the brushes in my paint technique is better, because when you are not talented with the knife it is more difficult
Describe any difficulties you have had to create your drawing and what you could do to improve it.
Using green in most of the paint brought me some problems and I think the grass was one of them because I would have liked to add a texture
Explain the successes you had with this painting. what I liked in my painting without a doubt was the maguey and the sky, the colors and textures were right

PICTURES IN PROGRESS
These are some photographs of the process of my painting, as you can see first I started with layers with light colors so that later I could add colors with darker tones and mix it.
FINAL PIECE
My painting is a piece that makes me feel very proud, when I see my progress from the first class that takes art until this moment, in this painting, it makes me feel very happy, I realize what I have learned and I see it reflected in My project, I never imagined being able to paint my pet and give that texture to the fur and also that realism, it was really very difficult to obtain the colors and textures. A very common mistake when painting is just putting a layer of color, but make sure that this does not happen in my piece, although it takes me a long time I put in my piece about 4 or 5 layers before starting the texture on my dog since It required a mixture of colors in the fur. Something that I really like about my piece is the head of my pet, I like the realism of the nose and the brightness of the eyes, I like the realism that projects, I think it is not a perfect piece and obviously there are details that decures, I think that I missed more detail to my pet's fur, it is the first time I paint an animal and in my opinion I did not do it wrong, and I would like to try again, I think the practice is very important, and in art nobody fails I think that with mistakes we create experience.
Reflection oil painting
The purpose of this project was to capture on the canvas, the reflection of glass objects with different colors. in the assignment practice it was difficult for me to paint the reflections of the objects, but in the final project I noticed some things, the tones of the colors must change in order to give the realistic touch, and of course the reflections must be painted First in white. I would sincerely like to repeat this project and do it better I think it is a piece that can be worked more.
